Return policy for repair items

If you have any technical problems with a product provided by Dr. Eberl MBE-Komponenten GmbH, please adhere to the following procedure for returning the product to us. We will assign you a "Return Material Authorization" (RMA) number to enable a systematic and fast failure analysis (FMA) as well as prompt service.

  • Send us the completed "Failure Description - Declaration of Contamination" for the parts to be returned. Our customer service will send you an RMA number.

  • If applicable, insert the product into the supplied stainless steel protection tube and secure it firmly to the flange with at least three screws.

  • Use the original packaging. If this is no longer available, be sure to use a sufficiently large cardboard box with enough space for the product and adequate padding material.

  • Label the package with the assigned RMA number on the outside and include a copy of the completed "Failure Description - Declaration of Contamination".

  • Send the products to our facilities in Weil der Stadt, Germany. For returns from countries outside the EU, please prepare a commercial invoice for customs clearance. Clearly note "Temporary export for repair" and indicate the HS code* and serial number of the product. If in doubt, send us a draft of the invoice for approval.

  • Choose freight terms DAP Weil der Stadt (Incoterms® 2020) for your return shipment, i.e. freight costs and insurance shall be at the expense of the customer. The shipment may only be made with courier service providers such as FedEx, UPS or DHL Express.
  • Any financial adjustments such as credit advices will only be made after inspection, evaluation and authorization by Dr. Eberl MBE-Komponenten GmbH.
  • After inspection, our customer service will prepare a report on the damage found, including a cost estimate for the repair. If you agree to the repair, we ask for an official order based on our quotation. Should you wish to receive the goods back unrepaired, we reserve the right to charge the inspection as well as shipping costs back to the customer or disposal on our site.

Any deviation from the above procedure may result in significant delays in service processing and raise additional costs.
